OMG, disgusting, those ISOs have an intro on them If that's the same copy you put up before, that might explain all the questions I get through PM asking me why they don't work when I tell people they can get the game from ultrashare. Who knows how much the people who put the intro there screwed up the game. It might work fine for you, but a lot of people seem to be having problems, even when they're using the right plugins and everything.

Yeah that may be the problem, but on the other hand; groups like paradox are experienced and wise enough to release a "Secure Patched" game. After all the patch is there to serve the player. (You can play the game on Pal AND Ntsc systems...)

Yeah, I never had any problems with an original ISO of FF8 (U) myself though. I'm still not sure why it doesn't work for some people and it does for others.

The PAL versions are the ones that require patching because they have mod chip protection the NTSC (U) version doesn't

paradox patch or not playing in the wrong region setting for that game will either play the game too slow or too fast and often can put a game out of sync and even make it unstable and freeze randomly

i went thru tha problem u discussed, and thru convertin tha IMG file to an .iso by ISObuster, I was able to play Final Fantasy V!!!.

*.bin and *.img are the exact same format and both run fine in ePSXe from Run ISO

I too have the same problem. I hope that GreyFOXs operation will help... no, I BELIVE it will help. But i have something else to report. I tried to download CD2 to check if it'll be the same and... it is! I wanted to ask if someboy else had the same problems with other CDs. I think it could be the format. If all CDs are in *.iso it could be the problem. Dunno why. Maybe i shoud ask GreyFOX to upload next the FF8CD2 image in that .sub/.img./.ccd thing.

Hey everybody, that thing with changing downloaded .iso file into .cue and .bin with ISObuster realy work. Everybody how already downloaded the game get ISObuster and change into .cue and .bin CD image. If you didnt downloaded yet wait 'till GreyFOX upload working version. Right, GreyFOX?

I don't have the version GrayF0X uploaded but it works fine for me up to and past Ifrit to the very end of the game in ePSXe 1.6.0

If it is a PAL game originally run it in 50fps or if it was the NTSC game orginally run it in 60fps and choose the original display at the Paradox intro aswell.

If this isn't that kind of problem and the image is fine then you just need to mess on with plugin setting for it to work, alot of members find 1.5.2 more simple to setup for Square's RPG games

I see. It got deleted somehow. Wait till the fixed version is up...
or someone who was fast enought could upload the file, since I already deleted the .0XX files.

EDIT:
PS I just checked the new images (.img.ccd.sub) for errors with CDMage:
got 62 corrupted sectors on CD2. Other cds including CD1 are error free.
