Isn't that how most songs should be? I don't know, I don't sit down for a song that is pure shredding, it's just boring. I can play most of the solo on that song too, but the last bit I kind of make something up that sounds like it.

    Omfg Cryptopsy/Suffo/Decapitated/Vader/Aborted/Dew-Scented tonight.
Well no because then you look at a band like Beyond the Embrace and the vocals are very good.

I can sing the entire song at the same speed/tone that dani does. I was proud of that lol.

Beyond the Embrace - Insect Song has some of the vocals i've ever heard.

The vocals on 2002's Against the Elements are not bad. They sound like a cross between In Flame's vocalist and Hetfield. The music is alright, just could do better being less accessible, more brutal.

Well nobody can top Anders Friden when it comes to voice tone. I think the drums could be alot faster and seems like they always Sweed up/Slow Down/Speed Up. Gets boring.

In Flames and Beyond The Embrace seem to be the only bands you ever listen to From your posts here anyway.

Anybody like Oceansize? Atmospheric prog-metal(-ish) that's.. atmospheric, and slow. I love them. So much.

No, it's like a cross between Dream Theater and Radiohead. Yeah, sounds lame, but I enjoy their music. Most of my music is skullfuckingly hard, so this gives me a rest
I'm not interested in the new Decapitated song yet. I'm waiting for their next full album before I hear it;all at once

Last night's show was bad-ass, but unfortunately I couldn't stick around for Suffocation because it was already 12 and I was wasted, not to mention my bro was waiting for me outside. A lot of fun but I didn't enjoy the main attraction(Cryptopsy) as much as I thought I would. They played mostly songs from "Once Was Not" so I had no idea what the fuck was going on. They DIDN'T play "Crown of Horns"! But they closed with "Phobophile" which kicked ass. Lord Worm is back and ripping shit up alright, but I just don't like their new material. He did bring out a chalice with worms to feed the crowd, that was cool. Decapitated were also kind of disappointing, they played well but it was mostly songs I didn't like. Mostly songs off the Negation. "Spheres of Madness" was mandatory, and they played "The First Damned", but that's it. I was really hoping for more.

Vader played a long set, and they opened with the new tracks "Art of War" and "Lead Us". Also played a bunch of classics like "Sothis", "Carnal", "Xepher", "Wings", "Black to the Blind". Put on a great fuckin show, probably the best of the night(didn't see Suffo so I can't say for sure ), but the people weren't too excited for the most part, most came for Suffo and Cryptopsy. They closed with Slayer's "Raining Blood". I enjoyed this the most, managed to catch Novy's attention while they were settin up. I also met this Polish dude that really knew his shit and was into the same bands. A bit crazy (probably wasted) but he took the music very seriously, he told me he pretty much mourned Doc's death, he had spoken with Vader before Doc left. He's totally into the oldschool BM/DM vibe but he also liked Wormed, Disgorge, Suffo, etc. A well-rounded dude.

I met these 2 dudes at the train station that have a band and they need a 2nd guitarist, they play Necrophagist/Suffocation/Death/Atheist-oriented metal. A vox and guitarist, really cool funny ass dudes. One of which I remembered from the Hate Eternal show(I eventually realized who it was). It was obvious cuz I was waiting for the NYC train and I turn around and see these 2 dudes -one with a Suffo cap and the other with a Carcass shirt- so that was funny at first. We exchanged emails so hopefully I'll hear from them soon and get together for a jam sometime.

It was a fun night though, I just wish I could've seen Suffo again since now I love them more than ever. The place was motherfuckin packed. Supposedly, Juliya of Uranium TV was there for a recording, and I heard someone say that members of Cynic and Darkane were there.

Dew-Scented were meh. Despised Icon sucked, but one of their vocalists was decent(yes, they have 2, one does the typical metalcore stuff and the other sounds like Frank Mullen).

Oh yeah... No pictures, bitches! Sorry, I simply don't have a cell phone/camera.

Holy fuck. Kind of disappointing. Soungs like Meshuggah now... which is a band I don't like at all. Fuck... there goes another one of my favorite bands down the crapper... I'll stick to "Nihility" and "Winds of Creation" unless the new album isn't like this song.
