I very much dislike all those. My opinion though.

Yo, there's going to be a Bathory boxed set containing all of the albums released not too long from now. I might actually buy this... btw, has anyone checked out the Bathory/Jennie Tebler project "Silverwing" that just got released as a tribute to Bathory? Looks extremely interesting...

Oh yeah, it has another version of Song To Hall Up High with Jennie on vocals instead, and needless to say, Jennie's vocals add ten times more emotion to an already emotional song. The other track; Silverwing is a decent hard rock song. The two track EP was very promising. It makes me all the more wish Quorthon hadn't passed.

Holy shit! Wormed's "Planisphrium" is fucking awesome!
I've certainly listened to it before, but... I just realized how amazing it really is.
Now to see if I can find their EP... Anyone know if they're working on anything new?

Listening to Defaced Creation now. Very good. Thanks for the recommendation.
I'm surprised they're not very well-known. It took me awhile to find them.

edit: What the hell? Where did Anata come from? Hearing Death of Dreams and Dismay right now. Why haven't I heard them before?... This is truly excellent music.

I've heard of them several times before, but never got into them one bit. I'm on it right... now.

I have all of their material... and I just bought the album. They just finished a European tour, haven't updated the site yet though. Phlegeton - the vocalist - is a professional graphic artist/web designer, busy and doesn't update the site often but I'm sure we'll know of what's up soon enough.

By the way, I have a Wormed live video with 3 or 4 songs and another in which Andy C.(the same drummer from the power metal band Dark Moor) plays a cool jazzy drum solo... with a blastbeat, of course.

You know who's the next Pete Sandoval on drums? Derek Roddy from Hate Eternal. Erik Rutan (ex-Morbid Angel) sure knew who the hell he was hiring when he called Derek in, he is the shit! Check out his instructional videos even if you don't play drums, it's really cool stuff.

Now that dude from Decrepit Birth and Odius Mortem is the most insane mofo I've ever seen, but I kind of prefer the more "standard" drumming of Pete Sandoval and Derek Roddy, and of course Mike Smith of Suffocation. I bet Lars Ulrich must be crying over all of these modern drummers.

Next year I want to get a tatoo of some sort. I definately want one, but not something I'll regret like something on the forearms or neck. Obviously something metal-related but not too cheesy. I have to think over exactly what I want but it's certainly going to be some kind of mosaic or pattern, the artwork on "Altars of Madness" and "Blessed Are the Sick" are extremely appealing, but might be way too detailed for a tatoo. Anyone know of any sites with pics of really cool metal tatoos? I like all that wacky Satanic shit if it's very detailed...

I'm thinking of the Altars of Madness thing all over my arm(above the elbow).

Yes! I love Derrek Roddy. Right after you said 'You know who's the next Sandoval?' I was already thinking of him. I saw his indtructional videos and I've seen them like 10 times each. He is amazing. Hate Eternal's new album is the shit also. I noticed the beginning of 'Behold Judas' was the same thing he played in one his instructional videos, and that's just awesome, cause I loved that rhythm from the first time I heard it, like half a year ago, when i watched the videos.

    Lars just sucks.
