I am curious about this. Any explanations? I want to download the romset Goodnes1, I would just like to know more about it.

When you download a goodset you are getting EVERY rom for that system including all regions, hacks, homebrew, bad dumps, etc.
tosec sets are also the same but are more based on old computer systems
Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
[Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time]
Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR
Even though it's good to have a whole romset, they are often big wasters of hard drive space. You honestly don't need 10 different dumps of the same game, just one working one.
wait, why are there such things as goodsets? surely there aren't people who want everygame for a system?

If you use GoodMerge, then all those hacks, trained roms, translations, etc. won't take up as much space on your HD. GoodMerge organizes all your roms into seperate groups, with each group based on the "main rom" for that group. Example: All Super Mario roms, including hacks, trained, translated, bad, overdump, etc. would be placed into one archive. All Metroid roms including hacks, trained, translated, bad, overdump, etc. would be placed into another archive. And so on... For more info on GoodMerge:

Alright, thanks for the info, everyone.I was wondering why Goodnes was 222 mb when all of the american release nes roms probably amounts to only 100 mb at the most. I do want every nes rom, but only the American games, I'm not interested in the hacks or homebrews or translated games, although I do think that they have their place in the roms scheme of things. I'll probably download the Goodnes romset though. Again, thanks for the info.

In a perfect world, you'd already be dead!
How does that save space...Originally Posted by SegNin
