With the program Daemon's Tools you can mount an ISO. This is the same as taking the image and making the computer think it is a CD inserted into a CD-Drive in the computer. After installing the program you will notice an extra CD/DVD drive in My Computer. Mounting an image is like burning it and putting it into that drive. This is used for ISO formats ePSXe doesn't support like Alcohol 120% images, mdf/mds, and for playing PC games that you ripped into ISOs yourself for faster loading times. You will also be able to use Save States. You will not be able to hold more ISOs. As I said earlier mounting and image is just making the computer think the ISO is in a fake CD drive.

Hm.. I see. I have Alcohol 120%, but I guess I'll have to find this "Daemon's Tools" thing. I'll give it a try, and hopefully it'll work. Though some games are well over 700mb, and that's as much as a CD can hold. Will it still be able to mount the iso onto the disk? (oh, and I know you can't hold more than one iso on a disk. I meant one game per CD) Anyway, I'll give it a try.

Oh, and finally, last question I'll be askimg for awhile. Do you, or anyone else, know where I could find a working torrent -by working, I mean one with seeds, so it'll actually download- (or direct download, I don't care) of Valkyrie Profile? I've heard many great things about this game, but I've never even heard of it before reading about it online, let alone ever seen it before.

Edit: I have Daemon's Tools, and I installed it.. but now I don't know what to do. A desktop icon appeared, and a little icon thing in the bottom corner, but nothing happens when I click on them. In fact, the only thing that appears to have changed at all is a new DVD drive that appeared under "My Computer".. but that doesn't really help me much, either. What can I do?

    Default Mario 64 MIA?

    http://www.emuparadise.org/reviews/Mario64/

Go and get it right now from the Roms section and have fun!!

Well, I went to the N64 Roms section in hopes of finding this game. I clicked on M section, and saw Mario 64 on the list, but the actual Mario 64 rom was absent. I entered the S section in hopes that it would be listed under Super Mario 64, but alas, nothing there either. Do you even have this rom? Please help me, thanks!

    Default Soul Beaver

I downloaded Dragon Valor from the BT tracker of this site. The WinRAR file you get contains parts 1-11 of the game. So i selected them all and extracted them together. The files that came out were:

    DRAGONVALOR1 MDF File 640,640 KB
    DRAGONVALOR1 MDS File 1 KB
    DRAGONVALOR2 MDF File 709,445 KB
    DRAGONVALOR2 MDS File 1 KB

(I'm guessing disk 1 & 2) Anyway im using ePSXe and when i try to open an ISO and go into the folder where the files are contained they dont show up. So then i set the "Files of type:" from "PSX ISOs (*.BIN, *.ISO, *.IMG)" to "All files" and when i try to run the files all i get is a blank screen. Can someone please help me.

I'm trying to figure out how to mount an iso to a CD, so I can play the games without having to have the large files take up space on my computer. I have Daemon's Tools, and I installed it.. but now I don't know what to do. A desktop icon appeared, and a little icon thing in the bottom corner, but nothing happens when I click on them. Try those with a virtual drive, get Daemon tools or whatever it was, there are a number of programs that do that. I can't recall what program makes those files, but yea, that is disk 1 and 2. Also, maybe try burning them, with alcohol 120%, nero, or whatever. But I'd say a virtual drive is your best bet.

Err, the PSX game? I take it you mean ISO, or I could be thinking of something else. Check the EP Bittorrent tracker, if it isn't there, maybe make a reqeust, and someone will put it up.

Edit: Not there... give this a shot: http://www.emuparadise.org/vbulletin...430#post546430

You don't mount them to a CD, you burn them. You mount them to virtual drives, which would be your 'new' DVD drive you see. The icon in the lower right corner will allow you to select files to mount to that drive, mount the ISO file (preferably the .cue I believe, or whatever the little describing file is, though I may be wrong on that), and then you have essentially tricked your computer into thinking this piece of data is a real cd in a cd drive. Then, with it mounted, you can burn it, hopefully. Just use whatever you use to burn, and make the virtual drive (the new one) the source, and make a direct copy to a blank disk. But realize that reading from a cdrom is slow... so don't expect the performance like an ISO gives.

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..

Can I do this to get a CD that you can play in an actual PS2? Do I need just the .img file, or do I also need the .ccd and the .sub files?

It's hard to explain with all the various different formats. There is going to be one huge file, that is the actual image. The rest are usually descriptor files, they describe what tracks end where and whatnot. You will usually need them, I believe, for the ones that have more than one track on them. Like the ones that have actual CD audio will have the one data track with the game, and then the music tracks. You have to make sure your PS2 is modded, as well. But yea, you can use those to make the CD, and it will essentially be just the same as copying it from the original (unless they ripped some data from it.. but that isn't often).

Do I absolutely have to mod it? And how would the system tell that it's a pirated game anyway? Shouldn't the CD have the exact same data as the original game disc and therefore be indistinguishable from it?

If I bought a PSX, could I run the CD on that without modding?

Now the IMG file. I hope you're using ePSXe to play FF7, so simply go to file -> load iso and hit the .img file.
    OK...

How do I make it so that it will quit asking me for Disk 1?

    Default 56K Internet *sigh*

Since it wont let me post it in the correct forum, which has never happened to me before, so hey, gotta start sometime right? so all you guys/girls that say, this isnt emulation, I know so dont ask, or you will be hurt with my mighty spoon of Zeus!!

Ok, heres the deal. After the hurricanes, we got placed in some temporarly housing facility. Whish is good and all, but theres one problem...No Cable Modem . So heres my question. My Dad went out and got Wal-Mart Internet, and the thing is the biggest peice of shit ever. Probably worse than AOL, wait...It is. And its giving us nothin but problems. So heres the question(finally). Instead of using this POS, whats the best 56K provider out there??? Thnx In Advance.

Just keep away from AOL and BT
AOL - just incompatable connect software basicly, Neworking with AOL isn't supported either unless they have changed that, and connecting a console, well just forget about that.
BT - hidden limits, read the small print, plus they keep changing there service to often, I got my 56k and ISDN 64k disconected by BT because of using it too much with a pre pay 24hour connection, they said I used it too much.

one I would use is www.demon.net, the price may not be one of the cheapest but the service is canny.

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]

You may still be able to get a BroadBand connection setup anyway through your phone line (Plus like that you can still use the phone line aswell the BBA at the same time ). There may still be an availability problems though depending on your area, most providers sites can let you check if it's available for you or not though.

P.S. The connections I have mentioned are UK ones apart from AOL but I strongly recomend against it anyway

If you are not from the UK it is still worth looking at a BroadBand connection, but you would obviously need to look at ones for you area
