Default Problem with "Auto Arrange" by Name while browing content.

Okay, first of all, I am still NOT ABLE TO MAKE A NEW THREAD. What is going on over there. Its been very long since I have NOT been able to make a new thread. I have Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed.

Okay, This is the problem I have and I was going to post this thread in the Computer Tech Forum but what the heck.

Problem: This may sound weird but my PC is having problems with "maintaining" a "Auto Arrange" by Name. Actually, when I open the windows explorer, everything works fine.

But when I browse the HDD/Files/Folders through an application, its all jumbled up, like say H named files coming first and then C named files, and then Z files and then A files.

Okay here it is with proper description. Like say, I opened winamp and I am browsing my songs directory, the directories or audio files in that directory are all jumbled up. They are not "Auto Arranged" by Name as they used to be. I have almost 30 directories in my Songs Directory and I have them alphabetically set. But they are not showing up "Auto Arrange" by Name properly as they used to. YES. THEY USED TO BE AUTOMATICALLY AUTO ARRANGED BY NAME. Now every now and then, I have to right click on that "Open Dialog box" and select Auto Arrange by Name to make them list properly.

This happens with everything else too. Like say, I open up WordPad, and when I browse files to open, they are not Auto Arranged anymore. They used to be Auto Arranged by Name. This only happens when I am browsing my files through some applications like WordPad, Microsoft Word, Winamp, etc, etc. They are properly Auto Arranged when I browse those files by Windows Explorer.

Please help me out. I am getting totally psyched out over here. This is making me go crazy. Every now and then, I have to right click and make them Auto Arrange by Name to get to the proper file.

Any help in this regards will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanx in Advance.

Also. I have Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed. and here is a pic to go with it. As you can see, all the files are jumbled up and are NOT showing up alphabetically and it is causing me great difficulty to find a file in a folder with like says 100 files.

Sorry for double posting but here is a pic to go with it. As you can see, I am browing one of my songs directories and the songs are all jumbled up. Say T named songs are first, then W named songs, then A songs, then D songs, then L, then P, then B, then G, then E...Holy shit man. What is going on.

Previously they used to be properly arranged when browsing and it would be alot easier to find a song in that director of more than 100 songs to find the proper one. This ain't only with winamp. This is happening with WordPad, Microsoft Word, etc, etc.

    Please help.

Might seem like a daft reply but have you tried right clicking and then clicking arange by name, might be sort by name, I'm using win2k so it may be named diff, the files may be sorted by date or file size instead

open the 001, 002 files with WinRar.

Or if that doesn't work, use HJ-Split.

The sfv file is just a file created by your BT client to help keep track of what you have d/led or something. It serves you no purpose.
