Sorry to barge in but I need some help with my PSX ISOs.

Ok, Im using ePSXe and I can play games on it, in fact I have finished one (ah the advancements of emulation). Anyway back to the point, I can play games that have files like: .ccd, .img, .sub. However Im having major problems with games that I download and they come in an archive which contains varies part of the game (like 7 winRAR files and an .exe file). Namely Chrono Cross and Xenogears (from this site). I downloaded them from the bit torrent tracker and when I try to unzip all the files they all come out perfectly. Then my VET comes up immediately and says that it has detected a virius at location C: \.......\Xenogears CD1.part01.exe or C: \......\cc.part01.exe, and says they are Trojan horse programs and immediately deletes them. Thus I cannot play the game.

Can someone please help me get past this so I can play my game. And either why there are Trojans on the files or why my computers picking them up like that.

don't run the exe open them with winRAR with a right click and extract from Winrar instead, or right click and click extract as that also uses winrar rather than selfextracting

or turn the virus scanner off while you run the exe's they are not viruses but self extracting achives are detected that way :/

    Default Problem

Well I received Toukon Retsuden 2 for Playstaytion from my friend. He forgot to tell me that it only works for PSEmuPro.Well before he told me that I tried it and it plays but my controls don't work.I tryed it on other emulators and its the same. Then when I finally install EmuPro is says this will not run on ur computer. It says that about 3 times and then when I try to configure it the emulator freezes. Can anyone help me with my problem or at least recommend something.I reinstalled it about 6 times and still the same thing.

What versions of ePSXe have you tried? PSEmuPro was the first PlayStation emulator to play commercial games, but it has LONG been dead. I would try ePSXe 1.6. If it doesn't work on that you can always try CVS.

I know it seems odd to say but maybe fiddling with you're controls may help? someone else had a problem with freezing in a game and he fixed it by putting a joypad in and configuring that, rather then the keyboard I;m not sure why it solved the problem but it may help.

    Default Problem

Well I can't download CVS from here because when I open it, it says unexpected end of archive and will not extract so no chance in trying that.

    this might have something

    http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/psx/

also this has a load of links contributed by ep members but you might have to do a bit of shifting through

    http://www.emuparadise.org/vbulletin...ad.php?t=25120

and i just read over your problem again and in some cases ePSXe 1.5.2 works better then 1.6.0

Thanks to you I made Toukon Retsuden 3 less choppy and I made the graphics great.I tried the older version of epsxe on Toukon 2 but it still didn't work.

I would personally try using a few different graphics plugins as well that might help the problem.

    I'd recommend these

    P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.16
    Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.75, Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.75 or Pete's D3D Driver 1.75 depending what works best for you (opengl, D3D or DX6)
    Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.6

Default KISETSU O DAKISHIMETE Sound Problems

    Hi,
I recently got Kisetsu o Dakishimete from the tracker, and am experiencing problems with the sound. The problems are:

The voices (XA sound) are cut up into little snippets and overlapping (i.e. playing at the same time).

As i dont understand Japanese, i cant tell if the voices are garbled (i.e. like a puzzle with the pieces mixed up) or broken up (i.e. there is a continous sentence, but its stuttering). However, im not quite sure what the notion of continuity actually means, when there are separate sounds playing over each other, maybe two or more continuous sentences played at the same time?

I am emulating the game using ePSXe v1.6, and have tested some SPU plugins:
ePSXe SPU core plugin: this produces the effects mentioned above,
Eternal v1.41, PeOpS DSound v1.08, Pete DSound v1.15: same or worse; timer and thread modes both slow down the framerate to about 3/s, SPUasync causes the voices to be super distorted.

I havent tried using ePSXe v1.502 (is that right?) yet, cause i never got it.

Im interested if anyone can get back to me, whether they have emulated this game successfully, and in that case what their specs were, GPU and SPU (maybe the graphics plugin has something do to with my problem, i am using the new PeOpS Soft).

In particular, maybe Ragnar would be of some help to me here.

    Thank you all,
    Take it easy.

    My Specs:
    Pentium 4 - M @ 1.80 GHz
    512 RAM
    Radeon 7500

Well yes. I'd agree with the ePSXe 1.5.2 option seeing as a number of plug-ins aren't working for you, also, I'll have a look into this but i think there are some fixes that "wait for cpu action" that might help the sound get into sync.
