Default Got the HD Advance/ps2 today!!>>

WOW is all I can say - works so well!!

It formats the HD for you, then you put in the cd, it copies it to the HD and then you play!

ALSO Cyber - yes you can rip the backups to the HD as well - you just put in the DVD cd - then go to convert - it asks to put in the disc - you use the slide card - then it does it!

    I would recommend this!!

    Seph -

You dont need a dvd burner!! - What happens is - you have the DVD disc - and you put that in, then you go to convert - you pop in the game and it rips it to your HD - from the ps2!! - all you need is a HD!

Yeah, I already knew the HD Advance let's you rip your backups to the HD. Older versions didn't though. I saw no reason to point this out, as you were intent on purchasing the Swap Magic at the time, essentially making the HD Loader pointless.

The program is great if you wanna rent games and back them up, but it's pointless to use it to put your existing burns onto the HD, unless you really can't stand loading times.

And a note of advice. Rather then starting a new thread every time a new issue crops up with all this, why not post this stuff in your last one? This is getting rather silly, as you've already started several threads for things that are closely related.

Hey, it's just a suggestion. I'm not sure if the moderators even care anymore, but you'd not wanna risk it.

I've had it since it was released as "HD Loader", very handy indeed.

The HD Advance is a bit different, in that it let's you put your backups on the HD. Though the worth in that is truly dependant on wether or not you can handle loading in your games. It's great for games like GTA III and Vice City though, with thier minute long loading times at start-up...

yeah it is a good point.

Though I'm not exactly strict, I would normally warn peeps about doing this sorta thing, no need in this case though, as you have already pointed it out to DJMafia.

    Damn, this sounds awesome.
I could really dig cut loading times.
If only I could get off my lazy ass and get a job.
Oh, well... Does regions and stuff matter at all?
    With the games, I mean.

Well, no. Not when putting the game on the HDD.

Of course region comes into play when you're talking about something like playing a PAL game on an NTSC TV and all that.

just a quick comment, cyberxion mentioned "swapmagic" what sort of bootdisk is that? do you need a special sort of mod? slide card thing? or is it that all i need is the disk and it plays the games? if this is so can someone pm me of where i can buy this? about 90 percent of my psx games are burned, like over a whole book of cd games, so this would be really cool being able to play on the console.

Slide card or flip top are to be used with swopmagic, sometimes the swopmagic disks come with a slide card anyway.

I'll lets someone else link you up though for buying the thing
