Help running game on PSX emu thread

I wish I was getting gil for this thread lol. I started this thread way before the gil system

Anyways, could somebody recoomend some plugins for a computer with a shitty video card? I feel like playing some PSX games but can't remember which plugins I used to use.

EDIT: stupid me. If I just looked at the beginning of the thread I would've seen I was using Pete's Software.

Yep, usually the best ones. P.E.Op.S driver works well on low spec systems

kaazuya software driver 1.8 is great for shitty low end video cards
for some strange reason peops dosen't like the ctrl+H search engine and keeps crashing on my old computer (kaazuya software dosen't like to go between windows and emulator)
but you have the ctrl+H search function. o well I better start playing in my new system and keep the old only for downloading
stuff and seeding

I'm having a problem with Chrono Cross. In battle mode, whenever i use an element the whole game goes REEEEEELY SLOW. I've tried using diferent video plugins and changed the settings around and nothing works.

i am able to play the game and use elements but it takes forever.

here is my system::

EPSXe version 1.6.0

P3 733Mhz
256 MB ram
windows 2000 or 98
G-forceFx 5200
soundblaster live

Have you tried configuring the video plugins differently? You could also try playing the game on EPSXE 1.5.2. Chrono Cross works a lot better on that version, as do most squaresoft games You can get that version from www.epsxe.com

Actualy i've found that CC runs the some on both if the ""Even/Odd Bit Hack" is enabled in the special fixes of the video plugin.

However i've downloaded a program claaed "Delta" whitch seemes to enhanse the way ePSXe runs roms. However it takes up a tremondous amount of space to run.(Apromoximatly double) Major slowdown. But it works,

play chrono cross on VGS. on my epsxe it ran too fast, but on VGS it runs fine.

Having problems with Suikoden on Epsxe(first game really to have problems with). Here are my specs:

EPSXe version 1.5.2

Windows XP

1.1 Megahertz

256 MB Ram

Intel(R) 82810E Graphics Controller

You could try the newest build of ePSXe to see if it does a better job with the game....

Other then that we need to know what problme it is that your having with the game.

Edit... Zorlon is just to fast... He knows more about these kind of things anyway...

My lil how to get around it

there are two things you can try off the top of my head

Option 1. get ePSXeCutor and a diff Pad Plugin , yes you can use external Pad Plugins with the aid of ePSXeCuter

Option 2. get Joy to Keys config ePSXe to use the keyboard and Joytokeys to use the same keys alocated to certain pad presses or sticks or D pad

I dont really understand what you mean. I have configued the AxisPad to the buttons on the PSX and been playing several games like that. Outside of installing the GamePad and stuff, havent put any GamePad plugins in Epsxe....
