The PlayStation has no mod chip
NTSC Machine
The game runs pretty well on ePSXe (with the exception of the blank menu screen, which someone said was a glitch in the emu itself).
I read somewhere the games had to be burned in RAW or DAO format or something, but I have no idea if that is what NERO is doing or not. Oh yeah, I tried your (Zorlon's) method, and PRESTO!!! Another coaster to set my favorite alcoholic beverages on! I think I'm about to give this thing up folks, I don't know what else to do. Another thing, I don't think this comp has ASPI, cuz some other programs I use (DVDx v2.2 for example) complain about it missing from the system, but it hasn't really affected anything. So I dunno mang.

Don't put your Mug or Glass on that CD just yet
The cue will do everything for you there are no extra settings you need to worry about.
If you don't have a chip in your PSX you need use some sorta boot trick as normally your PSX will not read CD-R's, if you have the realy very old model with 4 ports in the back of it (i.e. one for power, one for video/audio one for link up and one for expantions (The newer gray opnes never had the expantion port)) you can get an cheap Action Replay type of cart that plugs into that and come with a spring that lets you play back ups
I'm also gunna have a quick check of that game and see if it has any protection on it
You can get the Win-ASPI drivers from http://www.download.com/3000-2098-10219041.html
You can also try another emu called CVGS a.k.a Connectix Virtual Gamestation it's a very basic emu but acuratly emulates PSX, just it doesn't have any improvements like higher res or any 3D improves, you can get that here

Thank You for the link Zorlon. By the way, after burning the CD's I test them with ePSXe and then on the PlayStation, but in both cases the same thing happens. ePSXe just gives me a black screen and kinda hangs there, and PlayStation says "Please insert a PlayStation CD-ROM." But you did pose an interesting question: perhaps there is a copyright protection on the game that can't be worked around.
Your PSX says that because it's not chipped.
But try out that other emu while I'm checking on if it's protected or not.

Okay, I'll try...
OK seems there are no protection fixes for that game but ti isn't list in the protection list I usually get my info from either so I can only be 90% sure that it's not protected, I only say it's not because there are patches available for the game but nothing to remove protection just to add trainers and a PAL selector

Okay I tried CVGS and it says I need a Pentium II class or better, but I got a Celeron with XP (this things pretty fast) what's up with that? I used the fix for NT/XP and it still doesn't work (damn I'm having all sorts of problems today).
Also, the tnkXfs.dat file is not being created for some reason.

It's very late hear so I'm off soon anyway
there are things you might want to check though, like resetting after you installed the ASPI drivers if you havn't allready, making sure you have the latest version of Direct X aswell
If none of the above work, PM me with the ISO location and I'll get it myself tomorrow and check it out myself and see if I can get it working in ePSXe from CD for you.

Yeah you're right. Well TY for the help and info everyone. Too bad we couldn't find a solution.
For CVGS copy all the files into one folder aswell as cvgsrun.exe and run it from cvgsrun.exe
Thats if you got the one I recomended that is
The file you mentioned is lacated in your temp folder

Did all that, it kept saying I need a Pentium II class processor or later and I got XP too and I KNOW its a Celeron for a fact, so I guess CVGS doesn't like this computer. I already rebooted to finish putting in the ASPI by the way.
Suckath I will have a try myself if you link me up to the file, thats if you can depending on how you got it![]()
