Help running game on PSX emu thread

I recently dl the files for xenogear disk 1, haven't got to disk 2 yet. My question is, how do I open the game in epsxe? Do I need to somehow combine the files?

i have a star ocean 2 problem. im running the game on VGS. im on the first disk, at the part where im in the Heraldry Forest to save the kids. everything is fine right up to the point where im about to fight the boss. in the middle of the conversation with him, a little screen pops up saying that it cant read the disk or somthing. but its not a windows screen, its a psx screen, like an in-game screen, if that makes sense. im using an ISO. so help would greatly be appreciated.

to be more precise, it says "Cannot Read Data From Disk"

First make a copy of the ISO then open it with CD Mage hit the Scan button the hit the Repair button after the scan has been done this will repair any damage to the ISO

As I don't have the game myself I can't fully test it with VGS though as it may still be an emulation error and not an ISO error

Extract xenogears.c00 with WinRAR or 7Zip and the rest will be extracted aswell automaticly

ok, i used CD Mage, it got me thru the whole conversation. but then when the battle is supposed to start, the screen is black but you hear battle music. i dont get it. any other suggestions?

I recomend you try creating a new thread in this section so someone else may see it that has the game and may know of a way to get the game working.

I tend to be the only one who is active here so creating a new thread might just get you the help you need

I am playing FF9 on Epsxe, in the first disk. I am stuck due to bad data during an FMV. Is there a way to skip the FMV? Any way that won't destroy hardware or data will be fine.

You could try to fix the ISO data problem with CDMage.

Always backup your ISO before trying this.

All you do is Open CDMage then open your CD Image with in it, click the scan icon then wait, now click the repair icon and wait.

Sometimes even CDMage can't repair all the sectors but it will still help stop PSX games from freezing while reading data such as FMV

Thank you for letting me try CDmage, but it didn't find the error that should have been there.

I 've heard of a way to skip FMVs on the real playstation, by opening the cover of the CD during an FMV. Is there a way to do something like that on Epsxe?

I was wondering if you guys could tell me if the sound on FF7 is correct. Since I�ve never played the game I don't know. It sounds kind of staticy like when the character jumps, and in battles when you attack or gets attacked.

Here is a nice MP3 it starts out going into battle (with a chocobo) then I skipped ahead to where the but kicking started.

I realy need some help with metal gear solid. I have spent the past month getting this game and now it wont work. My problem isthe sound skips and repeats itself and the videos skip a LOT. I have tried using petes soft gpu petes dx6 d3d 1.75 and have messed woth many of the settings my SPU is eternal and i am using the special game fix for mgs in it but it doesnt help. my specs are on page 10 of this thread. please help!!!


Edit: oh and im using an ISO

I use Pete's OpenGL 1.75 and the ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2 and it works great.
