Winamp 5 can. The free version can do it, but it's quite slow. It takes about a minute to convert a song. There's probably a lot of better options.

    I use iTunes.
I know it is a music store, but it is also a media player and CD to MP3 ripper. It's totally free because they expect you to buy music with it, but you don't have to.

cdex is the best program i've ever used plus i can rip cds to mp3 in about 1-2 minute, just about 12-15 seconds each track, (depending on the legnth of the music) with my LG dvd rom drive!!

Hmm...I checked my appz to look for a crack for cdex (because I have cdex and i installed it recently after cleaning my appz out) but I couldn't find one...I guess it is free, my version too. But I was certain it wasn't....my mistake.

EDIT: CDex is byfar the best cd to mp3 ripping program. Does anyone know of a wav to mp3 prog. I have a mp3 to wav, but it doesn't do the reverse process.
