Help running game on PSX emu thread

Hey, Thanx for the link buddy. I downloaded the Soft GPU Windows Plugin. Will try that out.

No there are no problems with the cheater. Just wanted to tell you that I wanna play that game in conjunction with cheats. Just in case if that made any difference selecting the plugins and all. Never mind that.

Edit 2: Hey Crusher, am also thinkin of playing Speed Punks, which is a 3D game. Can you tell me which would be the best plugin for 3D games for me.

Yet again, I'd say the Pete's soft GPU. But if you want sharper 3D graphics I'd recommend his OpenGL or Direct3D GPU.

i'm running xenogears on epsxe,and though the video works beautifully(i'm actually getting the starting video,which connectix would never show).i'm getting no sound,i'm only getting it during the menu,and that also comes slightly delayed.the plugins i've tried so far are:
default epsxe core
eternal SPU 1.41
eternal SPU 1.41 lite
i've even ticked that square sound game fix,but its still not working .oh and i have a non-integrated soundblaster card,not sure how i can check out the specific card from the comp.any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't know to be honest how to fix the ePSXe problem (Not without finding my copy of Xenogears first that is), but I know a fix that improves the compatablity of Connectix VGS.

Just DL the Attached file and pop it in the same folder as VGS then try the game again (I'm asuming that it just did not work in VGS)

it worked with connectix,only skipped the intro video.
but in epsxe,the sound isn't coming .
i can't use connectix in my home pc,because the patches for nt and p4 aren't working,everytime i load a game,it freezes at the loading game screen.

OK Now you have VGS working (I read in your other thread you got it working) try the Games.txt trick out.

I'll sort the ePSXe prob out if I can find my copy of Xenogears, so far I can't find it, I think I may have loaned it out to a friend and just forgot about it

Alright, I was told that emulating PSX is easier than N64. Given that N64's giving me a headache at the moment, I think I'll give it a shot.

I know a little about this stuff already, as I have read through most of this thread. I have ePSXe already and a few isos, but I know I need a BIOS and I'm sure plenty of plugins. Here are my specs, and I'll let the brainiacs here decide which plugins would be best for me.

Intel 2.8gHz P4 Hyper-thread
512 mb ram@400mhz
128mb ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Creative SBLive! Sound Card
Windows XP/Direct X 9.0

My questions:

1. Where is the best place for me to get a bios?
2. Which plugins would work best for my setup? Settings? Links to these?
3. How do you run the games? Do you just load the image file or what?

Pete's Video plugins are all nice just pick the most aplicable one I use the D3D one myself

Yeah you can load from CD Images instead of burning them

Hi i'm having a slight problem with ePSXe. I'm trying to play FFVII off of the CD, but during the FMV's the video is very choppy and so is the sound.

Yet, once i finally hit game play it runs perfect. (Except for the fact that it takes extra long to load anything.)

So, I was wondering what I could do to go about fixing this?

Just open the config for your Video, hit the cinfigure button then check the box next to Special Game Fixes then hit the ... thats next to it and then check the box next to 0x0002: Ignor small framebuffer moves.

im having a prob trying to play tomb raider 2. ive used nero and clonecd to make a copy of the original game and when i play it in epsxe 1.5.2, i get a blank screen with the .nrg image and i cant get past the loading screen with the .ccd/.img image. here r my plugin's and specs

vid: pete's dx6 d3d driver 1.73
sound: epsxe spu core 1.5.2
cdrom: epsxe cdr wnt/w2k core 1.5.2

amd athlon xp 1800+ (1.53ghz)
256 ddr (266 mhz) ram
w2k pro/xp pro
radeon 9000 64 mb vid

as i said, this is the original game(ntsc) and ive never had a prob with this b4. most of my games are from the original copy bought from store.

I don't have many problems actually running the games as I do sound. On some of the games there's little or no music, while at the same time there ARE sound effects (i.e. start menu movements). Any ideas? Thanks.
