In my case it's about newer ≠ better. Whether it's music, films, books or games. I'm a bookworm and to me nothing is more stimulating than cracking open an old tome, feeling its weathered pages and its aroma. I tend to listen to classical music and watch cheesy black and white science fiction B movies for its campy bygone era aesthetic. Many of the things I enjoy as entertainment are anywhere from thousands of years ago as literature to 60 years ago as games. To me games are just another library and works of art that are interactive which should be preserved for posterity to peruse.
