Hi! I'm Lorenzo, I'm new here.
I've just recently started discovering the world of emulation and retrogaming...
Honestly, I'm not a really keen gamer. I've always seen video games as something that I'd do when I was bored and had nothing else better to do, but with one exception: when I was with friends. Gaming has always been more of a "company" activity, something that done alone was just... "meh," but when shared (not only in multiplayer games but in single-player games, too) was way more enjoyable.
With the increasing worsening of new games, and their lack of originality, I've decided to feed a bit of my nostalgia and download PCSX2 to revive my PS2 old memory (I keep my PlayStations even after death because I've always felt as they were contemporary history "chapters" for my generation, so they must be kept...), to revive a bit of those feelings I had when I was a kid too.
So, now, since I really like psychology and understanding people's thoughts, I'm very curious to know why you play 20- or more-year-old games instead of just... getting a new one?
Is it nostalgia, is it because you just prefer those games and find them more fun and enjoyable, or because of something else? I'd really love to hear some of your stories!
