But yeah, it's cool so let's make short-nosed cave bears from GMO Kodiak grizzlies for some mortiferous and deadly dire bear megafauna reason.
You know, de-extinct megafauna dire predators is an excellent idea for extremely dangerous reasons. Especially since they're backwards compatible with the wild animals they're made from and dominate their ecosystem's superpredator niche. Let's celebrate that with scientific accolades when they inevitably escape from captivity.
(i.e. earthquakes, storms or other natural disasters damaging their enclosure)
First, they'll eat themselves out of house and home making prey species that are not megafauna large enough to sustain their daily calorie requirement extinct. Next, they turn to eating people's livestock, pets and family. Lastly, humans make them extinct again for a second time for the same giant predators eating them reason. Only this time around there will be even more wild animals extinct to de-extinct.
But, don't worry. After we make humans extinct robots will make GMO animals that look like humans and call them humans. Or dire primates, or whatever.
