Also, we recently found tunnels at the edge of our star system that lead to the nearest star system, Proxima Centauri. There is a habitable super Earth there called Proxima Centauri b, and if it has life that system is older and life would have had a head start on our planet by several millions of years. We received a radio signal from there in 2019 but it's inconclusive if it's a technosignature. What I can deduce is it is inhabited by a civilization they are much more advanced than us of they haven't self-destructed. It's feasible for them to have travelled here using solar sails or von Neumann probes, the latter would be nearly impossible to detect. Unless they are us and travelled here to colonize by redirecting the asteroid to kill off the dinosaurs to make it safe then hybridized their animals with ours and with apes to adapt to Earth, could have happened. In any case, that's just speculative but it's a thought.

Proxima Centauri b is tidally locked to its star like our moon with one side always day and one side always night. If there is life there it's diurnal on one side and nocturnal on the other. You'd expect more carnivory on the night side due to not enough light for photosynthesis. Intelligent life can be omnivorous and would inhabit the border twilight areas as prime real estate that is temperate. Upon detecting Earth they'd be motivated to travel there because it's all prime real estate. There is also the factor of slower time on Earth because a Proxima Centauri b year is 11 days in Earth time, time is relative to the orbital period of a planet around its star.

Experiment may be in part to determine if a biosphere of life can sustain organisms that aren't polarized in evolution by tidal lock and that live longer in number of years. And/or to observe what happens in a hybrid ecosystem they seed that is based on theirs. Again, speculative possibilities to think about.
