First Zelda was not hard for me after a while of playing it. Never needed Game Genie for it though I had one. Back in the NES days I did play the sports games a lot, but I didn't have a specific preferred genre and I just played everything I had a cartridge of. Some of the games were garbage but most were good, it was hit or miss in every genre except RPG. There is no such thing as an RPG for NES that sucked, it's typically the action games that were not good but it's usually because of bad controls or difficulty too high. Some games were short and developers wanted to get more from less by making the game unbeatable to get more play time out of gamers. With an Engrish CONGRATURATION ending if you manage to beat it.

First LoZ game use to kick my ass when I was a kid. But I was probably 16 or 17 when I finally beat the game, it has a little challenge, but not like when I was 8 or 9. Such a classic game, one of my favorite games of all time, easily top 20, and it's my second favorite in the LoZ series.
