I have a 9 year old black tabby cat who is usually so smart all he needs to do is talk to be a human child but he just knocked down an ashtray and made a mess. I can count the times he's done stupid things and/or made a mess on one hand, he never damages or destroys property either. He comes when I call him and obeys simple commands, I think it's because of how much he loves me to please me and because he's smart for a cat but then again to say humans with nukes are smart is hubris.
The kitten is called Pirate, he was a feral cat I rescued and adopted out to an ex-girlfriend. Tarzan the golden and white kitten I recently rescued because his teeth developed way too early and his mom rejected him before he was weaned was also placed in a loving home. Onyx is my cat and I don't want to have a house full of cats but I will always take in feral kittens whose mom rejects them before they are weaned or that are injured to heal and nurse them back to health. So you might see animals at my house besides my cat, I run a makeshift shelter for animals in general.
