Anyone else here get so good at Golden Axe that you can beat the game with one quarter? I would need two for Final Fight, right now if I had a choice of a vintage arcade cabinet I'd probably choose Double Dragon or Marvel vs. Capcom 2. The latter is perfectly ported over to Dreamcast but there's nothing like a real arcade game. Anyway, I can play as any character in a Capcom fighter but given a pick of a team I'd go with Ryu, Wolverine and Dr. Doom though I don't need a team to troll hardcore with Dhalsim teleporting around at will. Ryu, Wolverine and Dr. Doom have a 99% damage team interrupt combination however, Wolverine fills the super meter fast by slashing at the air if you don't pressure him from a distance, Dr. Doom flies around and can start a super combo in midair, Wolverine then opens up a can of whoopass interrupting with Weapon X then Ryu interrupts right before the final Weapon X strike with the most damaging shin shoryuken. Dhalsim, Gambit and Blackheart team supers are very cheesy and do an insane amount of combo hits but nothing beats getting perfects with the aforementioned 99% damage combo team.

Conversely, Wolverine and Dr. Doom are already my preferred comic book protagonist and antagonist respectively with Deadpool as the antihero who is Wolverine's fellow Canadian Weapon X colleague, so choosing them in a Capcom fighting game was a no-brainer even before I learned the MvsC team fighting system. Ryu as their Capcom teammate was another no-brainer.

By the way, in Street Fighter II the highest priority move is not the dragon punch. It's E. Honda's light punch button sumo headbutt, counters everything and even goes through fireballs when timed correctly.

no but I used to be pretty good at final fight 3 I could usually get 1/2-3/4 of the way through the game on the hardest difficulty and only use 1 continue I was good enough to unleash Guys specials easily.
I haven't played any of the final fight games in a long time now.

I love Hugh Jackman to death as Wolverine but I have one gripe about cinema version. Wolverine is a stocky 5' 3" manimal befitting his name because wolverines are small destroyers of worlds, Hugh is a full foot taller and is lanky.

Sheng Long(Gouken) is Akuma's older brother, they are nearly equal in power but Akuma's raging demon attack punishes people for all the evil they have done and Gouken is no saint despite being mostly good. The kanji on Akuma's back means heaven and immortality, he is not evil and only kills worthy opponents who can challenge his power in a fight as a warrior. Akuma is widely misunderstood, he only seeks to find opponents to defeat in a fight and to hone his fighting skills to superhuman levels. He follows a warrior code and does not harm those that are weaker than him. Also, Akuma is Ryu's father and seeks to test his son's ability, Ryu is the one who feels hatred because Akuma killed his master but he won in a fair fight knowing one of them would die in a fight to the death honorably. Gouken is Ryu's master and uncle, Ken is his stepbrother.

I used to like the combo of Wolvy/Cable and then either Cyclops, Hulk or Zangeif to round out the team. Cable is so cheese against the final boss lol.

Can't go wrong with Cable, he is OP and combining him with Hulk and Zangief is damage central tactically. My choice of team revolves around a 99% damage interrupt hyper combo only Doom, Ryu amd Wolverine can pull off. Every team has its merits, being able to pull off perfects and come from behind overkill wins is my go-to in MvsC.

Edit: Wolverine killed Hulk in a What If comic fight to the death by cutting out his heart, Wolverine > Hulk = X-Men are stronger than Avengers and when Deadpool joins the fray it's a foregone who wins conclusion for Cananda as Captain America chips in. Tony Stark is an alcoholic, I love his godlike tech American style.





I am saddened by Beast's recent heel turn in the comics, knowing him he has an endless progression of clones to take his place thanks to Mr. Sinister's collaboration but he deserves to be killed off permanently.
