Not better than real hardware. The emu used is apparently no better than SSF, it might actually be based on that.

That's why I asked, if it uses an emulator as a blank template for the ISO insertion it's not the same as hardware. If it was a direct port it would not need custom firmware for homebrew, I doubted it would be. I must take it for a spin regardless, if it is based on SSF it has the same compatibility list to test if it's based on it. SSF is closed source, therefore it might be based on Mednafen that only runs Saturn and is not multi-system.
