I'm late saying this, but that RE4 demake looks sweet.

The one being made for PS1 hardware? Yeah it's nice. Just one guy doing it but he may have borrowed some resources from elsewhere. There's a small community of sorts that have made skins and textures for the classic games and I think they tend to reuse stuff as much as possible... kinda makes sense given that there's a fair amount of work involved in messing around with the PS1 games.

The newer RE engine games are kinda easier, on PC anyway. You can port some costume skins to PS4 variants but body mods, sounds and more complicated stuff usually doesn't work afaik.

Another thing I'd be interested to see is RE0 beta (GC) assets backported to N64 using RE2 as a base. Way more work than the PS1 games though.


PS1 RE mods there are some nice ones now...
RE True Director's Cut mod - you can look this up on romhacking.net, a bunch of nice changes that are appropriate imo.
RE 1.5 - people are still working on this, there are "newer" modded variants teased every 2-4 weeks usually. But the main public modded version I think was last updated earlier this year?

I further doubt it was never documented before. Just because something fails to turn up on Google, it doesn't mean the internet never talked about it before.

I seen that mentioned just the other day. it might be good. I've checked the original out once but didn't play it very long(just a few minutes really)

Probably not a good as the original games. It's hard to capture that feeling now with newer games... well, it can be done with homebrew but big devs want something that will sell really well.
From what I have read of this new AitD game it seems more like RE Engine games and the mansion is now a hospital afaik, which for some reason made me instantly think of Silent Hill.

idk.. I'm hoping it will be interesting enough to play. I've played the RE Engine games (except for DMC 5) and they're ok. RE 8 village and maybe RE2 remake are probably the better games I guess.

I seen the "re-imagining" part but to change it that much is stupid.
