You shouldn't rely on browsers saving logins and passwords. That's how breaches happen, along with emails being compromised.
But if you don't care at all then I guess it doesn't matter.

I turn my microwave off at the power point when I'm not using it anyway, same as lots of stuff I'm not using all the time (televisions, home theatre, washing machine etc).I still have to change my microwave and coffee maker clocks manually. Or just forget about it 'til next switch and voilà
I even switch off the A/C at the power point most of the year, and my electric stove is turned off in the fuse box nearly all year because I rarely use it (it has a dedicated circuit).
Also, in summer I turn off my electric hot water every second day (via the fuse box).
My power bill is usually rated as being less usage than the average single person.
