    Unofficial Xbox Emulator Achieves 'Major Milestone' With Latest Update

    Original Xbox emulation has traditionally been a very hard thing to get right over the years, but the recent release of xemu v0.5 for PC has been described as a "major milestone" by its creators, adding a selection of new features.

    "In addition to a host of graphics improvements, fixes to enable broader BIOS compatibility, and general usability improvements: preliminary audio support has been added," reads the description for the video above.

    Xemu is still far from perfect - only around 150+ games have been reported playable so far - but it's great to see the project making progress, and the games that do work seem to be running pretty well for the most part.

    Weird can be great, but I think I'm going to keep my expectations intentionally low. Always better to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed.
    *PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here
