It clearly wasn't the 76th Fallout. I don't know who taught them their numbers
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here
I wanted to play it, but then it came out and they said it was a shit show. and now Bethesda is out there apologizing for the state of the game and pulling back on everything they tried to make.
I suppose the main criticism is that it is not a Fallout game. And that the world is completely empty, terrible quests. Hunting down recordings is boring and so on..
But I suppose you can tell me more if its actually worth a play.
the 2.8 user score on Metacritic cant be trusted because of all the trolls, but still seems a bit rough
but you have google.
I am still interested though because I love the Fallout world

Hmmm. People just bitching - from what I've read it's mostly from the beta and people who didn't give it more than an hours chance anyways. It seems like a Fallout game to me. Only big difference is that their is no clear "ending" that I can tell. Still full of crazy monsters and weird locations and humor. Yes there's alot of "fetch" quests but then again there always have been for Beth games and hell even most open world games. I've come across some neat quests. If you love endless survival/exploration type stuff (I remember you playing No mans Sky) then it's fantastic. Some of the downsides I've come across are scarce ammo and your equipment breaks down pretty quick like armor and weapons. I'm only level 26 though (I saw someone run by once at 300 and something) so maybe it gets better with perks and such.
The online portion means nothing to me as I don't care unless someone from here like DL starts playing it on Xbone then I would join up. Only once have I gotten an alert that someone has a bounty which you get for killing another player but even if you do get killed all they can steal is any junk for crafting that you happen to be carrying anyways so no big deal.
Think they must have retooled the game as it didn't even look like anything was installed from the disc and the whole thing just downloaded.
In the end I picked it up on sale for 20 bucks so that helps too
