Yep, JB didn't have any 500GB versions left only a new shipment of 1TB so I got that. It was meant to come with Rocket League download code but they didn't have any sheets left, so I was given a choice of about six or so games. I picked Gears 4.
Halo 5 & Forza 6 were a 2 for 1 deal. Master Chief Collection was even cheaper.
Traded some PS4 games and brought the total price down to what I expected to pay cash for a 500GB console.

Isn't Gears supposed to be something crazy like a 110gb download or something?

Yar, had a 9gb update for Hitman: Absolution.

Maybe it has to do a separate emulation type thing for every different game? And maybe it also just went ahead and downloaded the game itself too?

Toploader clone noac (Zoga) with both 72 pin (top) and 60 pin (internal) slots is better value if you're just looking at cheap clones. Even comes with proper NES type controller ports, unlike a lot of the other cheap noac's (subor etc).

NT is the only clone I would honestly consider. Love me some original hardware. If it's not one of those two things, I will just emulate.

Welp, getting close to beating FF15. Main story is garbage. Could probably run through the main game in less than 12 hours

Yeah FPGA is expensive, which is why a lot of clones use noac (cheaper). Thing is if you go back to the 90's Steepler were making clones (Dendy) that weren't noac, they cloned hardware components (not 1:1 copies though) and compatibility is close to 100%.

This is all hardware emulation anyway afaik nobody has made 100% copies of the original hardware.

Heh, started doing the same. Actually started from season 1. About 6 eps in now. I usually start from season 3 - no more old doctor and things start to get better and more consistent too. Can't remember the last time I started from the beginning. The epitome of cheese
