I still haven't even plugged my pc into it yet either![]()
Even if you buy 4k BD you can still watch those on 1080p tv.
AFAIK there are HDR capable 1080p tvs being made now but maybe they're still very limited in number, but I read somewhere that the S won't output HDR if it can't detect a 4k screen...dunno if that is true.

Spoiler warning:
At this point if you are shopping for a NEW tv you might as well go 4k.
I've got a little 24 or 25" 1080p tv right now so yeah if I go new I might as well go 4k. Those ultrawide 1440p ones look neat too.
Go 4k then if you want a new tv. It's only worth it if you get into 4k BD and videos though...everything else is upscaled and you get that even without the S.
Spoiler warning:
In the end if I'm gonna get a new tv once again I may as well go with a decent 4k, at least the option is there for the future if the need arises for it's full capabilities. Still it'll probably be awhile until I do anyhow.
Don't think my PC could handle it either now that I think of it.
