Not really. The tech of some Chinese telco companies (5G) is actually getting ahead of other possible candidates now and it's much cheaper.
The main issue is "security concerns" and the fact the US doesn't want its allies using Chinese tech because "they steal stuff"![]()
Spoiler warning:
Anything American has a good chance of being unreliable anyway. Sorry that's just the way it is.
Chinese is cheaper and in some cases supposedly more advanced now.
Look at what Korean tech companies like Samsung have been doing for years now...yeah there are issues sometimes but just because something is Korean or Chinese doesn't mean it's always going to be crap.
You have to weigh costs and performance.

Spoiler warning:
I mean if say a Singapore company wants to come in and throw in a load of Chinese stuff around to improve mobile networks and even maybe wireless internet the powers that be should just allow that.
How is it going to make things any worse than what they are?
Worried about surveillance? I'm not, I'm sure that shit is happening anyway.

I don't have any problems with made in China, as long as there's oversight, or other random countries. I have issues with 100% Chinese stuff because I've had nothing but a long line of poor products from them.
