Not really. The tech of some Chinese telco companies (5G) is actually getting ahead of other possible candidates now and it's much cheaper.
The main issue is "security concerns" and the fact the US doesn't want its allies using Chinese tech because "they steal stuff"

Is it proven to be as reliable? The issue here is that the ISPs/telecommunications are greedy as hell want to drip things out as slow as they can.

The latter is a real concern. Even China wants their own chips to control security.

Look at what Korean tech companies like Samsung have been doing for years now...yeah there are issues sometimes but just because something is Korean or Chinese doesn't mean it's always going to be crap.

I don't have any problems with made in China, as long as there's oversight, or other random countries. I have issues with 100% Chinese stuff because I've had nothing but a long line of poor products from them .
