I mean idk, I enjoyed Seven Samurai recently and that is a similar length.

Seven samurai is a FANTASTIC movie and i need to go download it again.

Don't get me wrong that is a great flick...but classic Japanese movies like that are much like some anime. Full of sensationalism, obviously more relevant to that particular culture.

Don't get me wrong that is a great flick...but classic Japanese movies like that are much like some anime. Full of sensationalism, obviously more relevant to that particular culture.

The Silmarillion is barely functional honestly. But I read it back in my teens. Old scifi like Aasimov I never really bothered with. In general I don't read a bunch of novels to be fair.

Anyway it's not a terrible movie I just wasn't in the mood for it.

Lawrence of Arabia is a steaming pile compared to Asimov.

I always thought the Tolkien Bestiary was a more interesting read.

The Dune from the 80s is also very much a David Lynch film. It's too bad the miniseries didn't have the same kind of budget and such.
