[PSP] Audio does not work when psp is connected to TV.

Hello!

PSP 3001 CFW 6.20 PRo C2

When I plug my psp to TV only the PS1 games run the audio.
The rest nothing runs audio, not even psp games and emulators.
I tested on a CRT TV and a Full HD Led and the problem is the same, I also switched cable.

How to solve this problem?

I don't know how to fix your sound issue, but I'd like to mention something possibly unrelated...

6.60 PRO-C fix3 is what you should be using for best overall compatibility (that is if PRO is your CFW of choice).

With this CFW on psp does the audio work on your TV? I thought about changing CFW to an old or the last one, but that will be my last resource.



@All Is it just me? Or does anyone use the psp with CFW connected to the TV? I have already looked and found nothing related to my problem.

You don't want the latest firmware 6.61 anyway though you want the firmware just before it 6.60, then either Pro-C with fix 3 or the latest ME CFW for 6.60

6.61 was just a last attempt by Sony to block exploits nothing more

I never had much interest in connecting my PSP to my TV even less so as I own a Playstation TV that is soft modded and plays Vita PSP and PSX and any homebrew only real issue is the price of the memcards that there are no 3rd party versions of that I am aware of.

EDIT it seems there are Micro SD to Vita converters now, I will have to get a couple now

PS3 CFW can play PSX bin/cue from external HDD, also PSP ISO from internal HDD. PS2 software emu is hacked and a lot of isos work from internal HDD (I've tested about a dozen so far including Shadow Tower Abyss English translation).
There's an exploit for 4.82 OFW now, for all fats and some early slims anyway.

You can also load some stuff via network but I'm not interested in that myself.

Internal HDD is basically limited to 1TB 9.5mm drives but some people have got some 1.5TB drives working, also I've read about a 2TB drive formatted with a 1.7TB partition (something like that anyway). I'm using Rebug REX 4.81 atm and using an NTFS external HDD so I don't need to split files.


Yeah those SD2Vita adapters have been around for a little while now, some of us were talking about them in the HO. All the ones I've investigated (there are revisions) don't actually fit slim slots properly though, the door doesn't close apparently...which is no good to me as I use a grip kit.

Yup. The latest 4.82 OFW is exploited.
Your PS3 needs to be 25xx slim NOR (minimum version 3.56 or lower) though. All fats are supported.
Any exploited console can run PS2 soft emu now, you can even use custom config files to increase compatibility beyond what Sony officially supported.

The psp with OFW and UMD connected to TV the audio works. So it's not problems on tv, cables and psp.


I installed CFW 6.60 PRO-C fix3, connected psp to TV and got the same problems, just audio from ps1 games run.

Its a cfw issue! At least the ps1 games works on tv

Will do some digging for you as there may be a plugin to fix that but before that it is worth check out the other CFW mentioned

I tested the FuSa SD v1.0.50b and it does not work at 6.60. Black screen appears and freezes the device, you need to remove the battery to power on / off.

Now I tested RemoteJoyLite(show your PSP's screen on your PC).

The audio comes out of the psp itself, it works in psp games (only iso), some emulators and games suffer from lag and psx games do not appear on the screen.

To install the usb driver(type b) on Win10 need to disable driver signature enforcement.

For now I'm using my CRT for psx games and PC/RJL for psp games if not lags.
