Now this is an interesting question. How much does being online slow down ones machine? Not even talking playing something just connected. I've played around with a few machines and laptops similar to my own specs and simply being connected to the net may have eaten up around 15% at times without even a browser open (not counting killing ongoing background processes for browsers though)

Going off what you've mentioned you can run I don't think you'd see a hit from being on a network or online.

Ok bottomed out and grabbed the gog version of Zak.

Turns out it's a re-port of sorts from the fm towns version of the msdos version. Phew. 256 color

I remember playing this on a cga 4 color. With the whopping pc speaker!!! This one is midi methinks.
