As long as I don't leave the door to the outside open during the summer I never have trouble with flies. I don't open windows (which have screens) if it's hot out and I can go through my garage if I need to do something outside.

In summer here all you have to do is briefly open a door during the day and a bunch of flies will try to get in. At night it's mosquitoes.
Use doors frequently and they add up. My folks still chase them down with a swatter but I don't bother, resident evil solves the problem.

I'd have to leave doors and windows open for quite a while for a swarm of them to get in. Leaving a door open for a few minutes generally only means one or two flies getting in.

The only way I'd get swarms of anything other than grasshoppers or cicadas is if I stopped mowing the grass. As I've said, it's not a huge issue here and that's why I kill bugs with impunity.

We haven't had a problem with grasshoppers locally for a long time. But yeah it has happened a few times.

and if its a matriarch no chance their armor is like a tanks, youd need a nuke or the cannons they use to take out small ships in orbit in the universe XD So go on! take off, nuke the site from orbit you know its the only way to be sure I DARE YOU XD. A queen has never died to gun fire in any film, comic or book believe it or not, they always have to find an alternate method.

Actually, alot of it was grounded in science at the time. Sid Meid was highered in both films to design alot of the vehicles and architecture (except for the drop ship and APC, cameron ended up taking a ton of model kits and crafted them out of vietnam era vehicles) and sid meid for a long time has basically sat down and watched the way our technology has evolved and made guesses, hes been spot on about quite a few things which is why so many scifi writers use him. They are gestured guesses but quite accurate none the less annnnnd nerd mode off XD
