Going on the run for a whole season is ridiculous. You either disappear for years or you get caught very quickly.

They can't get caught right away nor can they disappear immediately, TV is all about the drama!

I lost interest a few episodes in when it seemed like it was going nowhere.

I gave up a few episodes into Season 3, which is sad too because I own all 4 on DVD lol.

Is totally region free! If you want to buy that Japan-only game, you can import the cart or access the Japanese eShop without any workarounds like making alternate European or Japanese accounts (SONY).
Paid online service isn't new! Both the big dogs, Serny and Microshart, have always required users pay a premium for it.

Less graphics power? No VC, backward compat? No problem!
The Nintendo has never been the most graPHICALLY INTENSE SYSTem and at this point doesn't even compete with the other companies. Whatever chipset the switch has is more powerful than the last. Next gen is defined exactly in this fashion.
VC is only a matter of time, and don't kid self! You didnt/wont buy a switch for the same old games youve played time and again. You bought it for SWITCH games. Hell my slim PS3 has more backward compat than my slim PS4 and it desnt even support the gen previous to it!
