You can get a solid monitor for $800. TV prices are ridiculously overinflated.

I'd prioritize a monitor over a TV for video editing. Preferably you want something with a good factory calibration and the option for hardware calibration.

Heh, well again my Ultra Wide works great. Only a month old too. I'd mostly get the TV for my room, since I have a small one.

I'm kinda prioritizing a new Xbox One before I get a new TV though.

Your $800 does not equal my $800. You're talking about spending 1k on a tiny screen.
You can't really compare monitors and tvs anyway. I don't think I've seen any 4k tvs under 40" size.

Fair enough. My main room is around 5 - 10' viewing range so I don't need or care about larger screens. For Roxas' purpose (editing videos) a monitor is better suited.

Sounds like GPU instability causing artifacting.

This kind of stuff pretty much only happens due to an error with drivers or trying to push an OC too hard. Consoles are in a single hardware configuration with nonadjustable clock speeds and drivers almost never, if ever, need updating.

Let me know when you start taking it seriously and pick up a CS-2000, something from Colorimetry Research, a Jeti, or at least an i1 Pro .

Graphical glitches were the best, especially when they'd occur right before an RROD or E74

There's no having a sensible discussion about it.
