    Default Crash Team Racing 3-4Player Glitches/Bugs/Missing Screens

    I have a porblem with crash team racing if i play with 3 or 4 players i have missing screens and bugs on nearly every map i have tried every gpu plugin with different configs but nothing helps.
    This problem is ONLY in 3-4player mode 1-2 player everything works fine.
    Castle Cortex and Tiny Arena are unplayable...
    Tried ePSXe 1.7 ,1.8, 1.925, 2.02 and the latest pcsxr version
    Also tried opengl 1.77 1.78 opengl2 core, tweak, 2.9 petes d3d plugin dx6 / dx7 and gpu soft plugin core / petes
    NTSC, PAL (EDC), PAL (NO EDC) - still the same bug...
    But there must be a solution i have seen many youtube videos without bugs

    I made a few screenshots you can see the bug in the first player window.
    Settings are just an example of the settings i normaly use for crash team racing in single / 2-player mode

    From where have you downloaded the ISO, and the emulators? Is the glitch the same on all the emulators? If so, you might have downloaded a bad dump of the iso, try another.

    I have downloaded it from emuparadise and some other sources i tried at least 5 different isos.
    NTSC PAL (EDC, No EDC)
    Some problem with epsxe and pcsxr

    Have you tried the settings outlined at http://psxdatacenter.com/

    Yes i already tried these settings but not exactly the same so i gave it a try.
    But it didnt work.
    The special fixes i activated are the speed up for the nasty framebuffer effects which is much faster on my hardware.
    I already tried it on my window 10 x64 notebook with different settings but the same bug...

    Is there any chance to try it with x86 windows? I would be much work for me to change the hole system but if there is a chance i would try it.
    actually i use a custom windows 7 x64


    EDIT:
    I noticed something maybe important.
    If there is a glitch at the wall like in the screenshot and i drive closer texture is "loading" and everything is fine if iam far away it glitches

    ePSXe is a x86 emulator so it does not run in x64 bit mode or anything anyway so that would not help it at all

    You could try using a different emu though like Retroarch see if that handles the 4 player issue

    If I get time I can also try on my end though my hardware is not going to match whatever you have

    retroarch doesnt support multitap (for psx) the only emulators i know who support multitap and sbi (for crash team racing pal) are epsxe and pcsxr and both have these strange bugs...
    My main hardware:
    AMD 5350 with ASUS AM1I and 4GB Crucial DDR3
    also tried
    Lenovo U410 i7 3517U 8GB DDR3 Nvidia 610M


    The AMD is inside of an original playstation tookme a lot of time to fit it in and get rid of all the issues. Every thing works fine just crash team racing doesnt work properly...
    And this ... game was the main reason to build an emulation pc

    Would be great if you test it on your pc maybe its realy a hardware/driver issue

    same again but with the software plugin, took that shot in Fullscreen mode (I use the HQ2x stretching filter)

    Some of the walls are a little behind for loading (texture lag rather than just invisible walls) but I seem to remember that on an actual console anyway but nothing like what is shown in your screen grabs, that may be an issue with the EU version of the game though

    Thanks! But you have to drive a little bit the bugs are only at special points not everywhere.
    At the finish line i have no issues, too.
    Can you try it a secound time and drive a half round you cant miss the point where i did my screenshots.

    Must be an hardware/software issue i cant belive it...
    Can you tell me more about your setup? Hardware, windows, epsxe version and so on

    My PC is junk , but see attached images..

    ... maybe the game is just bugged in 3 to 4 player mode

    I did notice a few slow loading walls just at no point did I notice any point with no walls at all

    It's been a lot of years since I played the original game on my PSX so can'#t say I remember exactly but do know it was a little glitchy anyway in places

    Yes you are right there are a few bug in CTR anyway but not this ones.
    I have managed to make it work with the soft gpu plugin (core) but its realy slow even my laptop isnt abel to play it...
    I tried everything in opengl 1/2 it didnt work for me i have absolutly no idea why

    But if you doesnt have any idea for me i think i have to deal with it gpu core is no option for me in 4 player mode

    if you are using the HQ2x stretching change that to the default one that will slow it down big time.

    Thanks for your support! I now have the perfect settings for me. unfortunately my slow cpu cant handle single player but in 4 player mode multiplayer i have stable 70-80fps for CTR PAL and it looks good not as good as opengl plugin but better than psx!

    I made one big mistake thats why it runs so slowly the first time i tried. I had to choose the fps limit manually...
