it's just occurred to me, that for every potential upload i do for epf (specific, this place FORCES niche bs) it could very well exist on the /.me server side, and user searches just aren't worth a george carlin.
just returns the current page, and that's on the /.org side, can't get it to effect any searches where the efp STAFF approved sh@ is.. (where there's CLEARLY a server tied to this joint, FTP upload compatible i HAVE NO DOUBTS! )
yeah, it just threw another spanner in the gearbox, and to think i could be duping stuff (not good on ANY side) when there's a dedicated server that stores shares of some description.
yeah, guess what other joint has this setup, has emu in it's name?! ( (yep, filezilla still feeds back my FTP account in full colours, i probably should just shunt my retail scan (as it stands) collection to it, admin is good on the cleanup.)

For downloads, use search on the main site (.me) it will give results for main site downloads and forums shares (only forums shares still on the master lists, not the trash bin).
Forums search only does that. Look at sub-forums master lists to browse.
Master lists are auto-generated, so to remove something from a master list (like if it has dead links) it has to be moved to trash by staff.

used to a forum setup, FTP behind the scenes, then admin can add it to the frontend for public download, in a similar way to the setup here. (two servers)
big difference is, FTP server obscured to prevent user search mishaps on the forum level (account created by staffs after outside record can be proved) so when any content is approved, it's copied to the forum area where anybody can get to it.
all on the same server, the same address, same for board attachments.
FTP is invisible and NOT connected to the FE in any way.
all content is staff approved if it's to show up in public, i also can do this, just couldn't be f00ked, i know my gear.
if the staffs want to make a special snowflake outta it, their choice, fkall to do with me, i just support my shit after the fact.
private places allow full control over user shares, and in the same light, there's NO splash of the share on the public FE, no one single new entry, just a stack of new for the day...

I've got green pips because I've been coming here for years and only occasionally being a huge cunt, because I try to help people with their emulation problems without implying that they are stupid because then maybe they will stick around and try to help others, and by not being enough of an ass to get banned.
