From what I understand most people prefer 3 and 4 over 1 and 2. What would you say is your favourite game in the series? Though the remake of the first on PCE Super CD is supposed to be quite nice.

I haven't played much of the series just 1(nes version) and 3(gens) never finished them. I'd have to say 3 only because the controls.
the last time I really played 3 I think I got as far as the first battle with glaims in the dream world I got my ass kicked hard.
