Voyager was when it all went bad. 1 fed ship against a whole quadrant full of unfamiliar aliens yet the Fed ship somehow still makes it home...

DS9 was where it actually started going bad. It had some great moments but the "Captain" was just weird. Spoke really odd most of the time and there was a bit of hand twitching going on.

I liked voyager and disliked DS9.

Back when I actually watched live flicks.

Yeah that upcoming Star Trek will just be pirated by everybody. GoT is like that here (isn't on free-to-air tv afaik).

I understand how some of the religious tones of DS9 weren't comfortable for some people, but I felt it gave Star Trek a human dimension that was missing from pure intellectual scifi like ToS and TNG. In fact I got to explain to my GF about the Ferengis "Great Material Continuum" after I bought her pop and got her to give some to her mom so her mom would give us a bit to smoke tonight.

    Best $5 I've spent in a while.

I can imagine him climbing down some kids chimney and scaring the crap out of them as he pulls a mass effect themed Harley out of his magic bag to put under their tree.

    Edit: happy now DL?
