yeah it's weird it didn't look damaged or corroded. I have had my good unit for about as long as my old one. I got this one from a flea market with a bunch of other consoles.

He should get a PO box. Not that much money and don't have to worry about mail being stolen and whatnot. You can just pick it up on your own time. One of the best decisions I made.

Weird, it's worked for me pretty much every time I tried it. Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you though. You making sure to clean the edge connector on the NES mobo that the 72-pin connector attaches to as well? That can get corroded as well. Also if you don't have any Brasso, for stubborn to clean edge connectors, I just use rubbing alcohol and a green dish scrubby. I don't scrub hard, but I find that it helps take of that stuck-on corrosion.

yeah I scrubbed the mobo. those green scrubbies I know exactly what you're talking about but I don't have any next time I go to the store I'll pick some up and try to clean the corrosion off my other nes.
