    This is rarer than steak that was cooked for half a minute on each side.

    The weirdest thing happened on the way home from work. The sun was going down, not coming up.

    I remember when I did night shifts and the sun would come up when I was coming home. I don't miss those days.

This year, though, the support for both in Scotland just completely crumbled, to the point where the SNP (a party you can't even vote for unless you're voting in Scotland) is now the third most represented party in the entire British parliament. It's a huge vote of no confidence from Scotland in all of the British parties, as well as British politics in general, and is probably the biggest British political shakeup in a long, long time. I guess it was a given following the close result of the independence referendum last year that things wouldn't be quite the same again. But I don't think anyone really expected a shift this gigantic. Really wondering what this means for the future of the union.
    The timing of the referendum appears to have cocked everything up unfortunately. It should still have been held, but eight months before a general election when it would still be fresh in people’s minds and the SNP would very obviously be on a campaigning blitz? Smart move for Cameron, smart move for the SNP, terrible move for the future of the union. I’m genuinely quite worried what the next five years have in store for all of us.

    Am I correct in saying though that Scotland receives massive amount of money from the UK, I mean this SAAS thing from my understanding is that fees are essentially free in Scottish Universities but not in English ones would really annoy me if I was English.

    So, I agree with a lot of Taoist mentalities, but there are some I disagree with.

    Not sure if I could fully identify with it.

    Also, cooked a whole chicken in the crock pot. Trying to get it out of the pot, it decided to break in half.

    Safe to say it's done.

    What Taoist mentalities do you agree with?

    What do Taoists even believe in, I never read much about them.

    It's kind of hard to explain really.

    I believe that the universe has it's own way for things to happen. I don't really believe anything is truly "random". Everything happens for a reason. We are just traveling down the river of the way, continuing on the path we are all destined.

    There is not point in doing things you don't enjoy or want to do, pursuing information just to have information doesn't lead to happiness only more of a feeling of emptiness. There's a lot else. I'm a pretty simple minded man, I probably can't describe it, I'm rather ignorant in my opinion.

    Here's an example verse that I kind of think I understand.

    Spoiler warning:
    He who is wise keeps silent.
    He who advises is a fool.

    The wise man shuts his mouth,
    Closes his doors,
    Curbs his anxieties,
    Withdraws from entanglements,
    Remains untempted by attractions,
    And retains his self-sufficiency.

    Nature is profoundly impartial.
    It cannot be persuaded by pampering, Nor dissuaded by scoffing.
    It cannot be tempted by bribes, Nor influenced by injury.
    It cannot be cajoled by flattery, Nor chagrined by slander.
    Thus it is the most reliable thing in the world.

    Might as well throw another one in.

    Spoiler warning:
    67

    Everyone under heaven says that my Tao is great and beyond compare.
    Because it is great, it seems different.
    If it were not different, it would have vanished long ago.

    I have three treasures which I hold and keep.
    The first is mercy; the second is economy;
    The third is daring not to be ahead of others.
    From mercy comes courage; from economy comes generosity;
    From humility comes leadership.

    Nowadays men shun mercy, but try to be brave;
    They abandon economy, but try to be generous;
    They do not believe in humility, but always try to be first.
    This is certain death.

    Mercy brings victory in battle and strength in defense.
    It is the means by which heaven saves and guards.

    I wish I could explain it better. It's probably the closest I relate to a popular religion.
