I hope The Expanse does not disappoint. Like I said, the books are excellent. It's more...how to phrase this...in between sci-fi? Like there's a lot of sci-fi that's very near future, on earth etc... and then you have stuff like Stargate, Andromeda, Battlestar, Star Trek that is spanning galaxies, with ships capable of traveling large distances fast. This is in between that, with the solar system colonized for awhile but not yet able to visit other galaxies.
