Once I tried soldering a wire to a small button cell battery. Soon,the batery fuckin exploded close to my face. No more on-battery soldering

I was digging around for over a week on Google about how to fix my desktop when a guy at work told me he had a USB flash drive that he could install Windows 7 from. Took me about a day after that to get it working right. Everything I had read up to that point (from Google) said you need a DVD to install Windows...
