To be more clear, I enjoy playing with real hardware as well and I don't think either one is superior to other. Both have their pros and cons, whether I use real hardware or emulation for the consoles that I have both options really depend on the game. With that said, I can transfer both my PS1 and PS2 saves from Real Hardware to emulator and vice versa, so it's really a matter of which happens to be more convenient at the time.

Hey, I'm not saying that emulators don't have their place. I'm just saying that there is no emulator that is 100% compatible or accurate. Enhancements should only come second to compatibility.

Well if the game runs flawlessly at 100% speed *and* it's in 1080p *and* you're playing with a gamepad, then it's obviously superior.
The thing is, that's not always the case.
Then again some games have slowdown on the original hardware that can be eliminated with a beefy enough PC, so there's that.![]()
Plus if you are emulating you don't have to deal with DISC ROT!!!!111111one :fearmonger:
