I still say you're all a bunch of wimps. I'm not even that good at video games and although I found the Souls games occasionally frustrating they're not really what I'd call hard. As long as you pay a little bit of attention to your surroundings, it's not that bad, and generally dying once in an area should be enough to make you say, "Oh, guess I won't do that again! " and keep moving.

I forgot Dark Souls 2 existed until I was browsing video games earlier. Still 39.99 new. Meh~
