WHO is Knightshade? Hello knightshade, hello.

This is also completely out of the blue but...Dark Souls is too hard to playIt's so harrrrd I feel like a dummy right now.
I couldn't get past the big heavy sheild knight dude in the very, very beginning.
With Dark Souls you basically just have to keep playing, keep dying, eventually realise “OK I’m probably not supposed to go there yet," try another route, hope it’s the correct one and pray you’ve levelled up enough to pass it.
Also if you see a new enemy, keep your distance and pay attention to its attack patterns before you try to fight it, and make sure to dodge. A lot.
I still say you're all a bunch of wimps. I'm not even that good at video games and although I found the Souls games occasionally frustrating they're not really what I'd call hard. As long as you pay a little bit of attention to your surroundings, it's not that bad, and generally dying once in an area should be enough to make you say, "Oh, guess I won't do that again!" and keep moving.
I forgot Dark Souls 2 existed until I was browsing video games earlier. Still 39.99 new. Meh~

Now if you're going to be like Cookie and obsessively collect all the stupid little super-rare shards of this and pieces of that, that's another story. It's not really hard, it just whittles away at your sanity, bit by bit.![]()
This has been my experience as well. They're tough at first but once you get the hang of things, they're not *that* difficult, yeah.
I raged hard in Undead Burg in DS1, but then as I progressed in the game things got easier.
By the time I got to DS2 I was already a more seasoned player and overall the game wasn't as soul-crushingly hard as people say.
Which reminds me, first DLC at the end of this month! My body is ready~
God fuck me it's hot outside
Damn and I missed Knightshade.
Russians.
Man is it dead in here.
Well I never said the difficulty was a bad thing. But yeah all anyone needs to do is pay attention to what the game is telling them. I think they're very challenging games whichever way you slice it, but the thing is they're well designed and they never feel unfair or cheap. When you die you're painfully aware it's your own fault.
