I think Hulk has been around long enough now in modern movies and has started to show more intelligence that it's probably time for a speaking Hulk and lead up to a World War Hulk. If it was written right it could work.

Not saying it's absolutely terrible but compared to others, yeah I know comparisons can be odious, it's not too fortunate.Eh, it was an interesting experiment. Hulk himself is a very one dimensional character by design but Banner doesn't have to be, and there is potential for depth there even if it's rarely explored in the comics. I just thought it was pretty cool that they took a risk and did something different when they could have very easily made the obvious action flick everyone expected. Which everyone involved must have known would likely be far more commercially successful and earn a hell of a lot more money than the movie that came out.
Anyway, we got Incredible Hulk 2008 and of course the Avengers movie in the end anyway so everything worked out.
I'm glad it was Universal and not Marvel the ones who took the risks!
