Try Dragon Aspect + Marked for Death Shouts and then do whatever you want. Summoning a dragon is helpful if you have to fight a few of them. I've fought at least 2 giants at once and a small group of mammoths even without Shouts.
I just fought my first dragon, don't know what the point of shouts is yet lol
