Hey guys, so I'm posting this everywhere. I remembered a website I used to write a story that I've had bouncing around in my head for years now. I'm currently working on Chapter 4, but Chapters 1-3 are up right now. I just figured I'd get this out publicly.

Am I the only one who thinks e-sports should be called competitions because to them sport implies a high level of physical activity?
Not that there isn't skill in playing at top competitions, there definitely is but to me it's not a sport or even "esport" because there's very little strenuous physical activity.
I said strenuous physical activity, I know gold has physical activity, so does playing Starcraft if you look at how fast they move their hands but it's not very hard, walking around and hitting a ball with a stick compared to say baseball or football. Old men in their 60's frequently play it for leisure.
People in their 60s and beyond may find it strenuous as well, it's kinda subjective. It depends on how good their physical shape is.
Would it be a sport for them then?
I'm joking, I don't really consider any of those to be real sports. Neither playing any game, no matter how seriously you take your playing. No offense to our golfers and e-sporters here!![]()
Good point.
So just playing Devil's advocate then, ok. Just because they're not sports doesn't mean they're not difficult, they have their own difficulty but they are not sports, to put the name sports on them is a bit insulting, although at least though saying "esports" separates them from regular sports.
