THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
Googly eyes.
Oh no. You can bind the mouse as let's say the right stick for fps games etc. But you can set all the sensitivities which is great plus you can bind the keystrokes to the face buttons you want and I guess aswd or the arrow keys on the left stick. It's pretty customizable
I've used it for tons of shit, everything from Doom3 to old Sierra games - works great with something like quest for glory
Stuck with the 60fps unfortunately but wouldn't be surprised if someone comes up with a fix for that or even a simple ini edit.

Yeah I dug through the ini file and didn't find anything obviously to limit the fps, but I don't honestly know all that much about it.
I absolutely will look into the xpadder, but I gotta find a way to disable the pad ingame. By default it allows all input simultaneously and I've had trouble using xpadder like that before. Maybe more stuff in the ini hopefully.
Aside from all that, I am getting more used to the controls, they're still a pain when it gets hectic and I forget, but I'm having a blast. Ready to unlock professional mode and play it for real. :p
