I'm the opposite, I usually prefer mouse/keyboard for everything but Diablo 3 is lovely with a controller. No more pointing and clicking. <3

Pretty sure it doesn't, no. Both versions are designed to play totally differently so they can't really patch it in either.

Well, they probably could, but then the multiplayer would be kind of a clusterfuck and people would sperg about it.
